Mota-Engil distinguished as Business Achievement of the Year

Mota-Engil’s international expansion was also the reason why the group won the award for business achievement of the year, mainly because of the €300 million contract won for Brazil’s Petrobras and the €650 million contracts won in Latin America.  

“Engineering and construction is a capital-intensive business with low profitability and, therefore, diversification is important,” said CEO, Carlos Mota Santos. 

Awarded six years ago, the Expresso Economia | Caixa Geral de Depósitos is, as the name implies, an initiative of Expresso and CGD, joined by Informa DB and Deloitte, responsible for drawing up the list of the 1000 largest companies in Portugal.
