Mota-Engil launches largest internship program in its history

The Internship Program, in its 11th edition, includes 267 vacancies in 12 countries 

The Mota-Engil Group has launched the 11th edition of StartME – the Mota-Engil Group’s Corporate Internship Programme – which has allowed the integration of young people through a model of selection, reception, continuous training and monitoring of their professional careers.  

This year, Mota-Engil, the largest employer of Portuguese abroad, promotes the largest edition ever of its Trainee Program, with 267 vacancies available in 12 countries, seeking to integrate young staff in countries such as South Africa, Angola, Brazil, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Mozambique, Nigeria, Peru, Portugal, Poland and Uganda, with academic backgrounds focusing on qualifications at the level of Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in the areas of Engineering such as Civil, Mechanics, Electrotechnics, Mining, Geological, Industrial Management, Environment, Electronics, Systems, Computing, Data Science or similar, Architecture, Logistics/Supply Chain SHEQ (Areas of Quality, Safety and/or Environment), Psychology, Human Resources, Economics, Management and Accounting.  

In a Program that welcomed a total of 919 young people in the 10 previous editions and with an incorporation rate of 88% after the end of the internship, applications will run until the end of July, and all information will be available on the corporate website of the Mota-Engil Group.

  • 155 recruited from Portugal (29 of them for international mobilization)  
  • 112 recruited from foreign markets

Divided into three phases, the Start@ME Program begins with phase @Campus with the aim of identifying and attracting future Trainees through a transversal and rigorous selection process. Then, the @Mota-Engil phase takes place at the Group’s facilities, which aims to promote alignment with the Group’s culture and values, concluding the Program with the @Business Units phase where the Trainee has the possibility to develop their professional and personal skills throughout the 12 months of internship, with the accompaniment of a tutor who is responsible for facilitating their integration into the team and developing their skills potential and know-how.
