Mota-Engil Peru employees engage in tree-planting campaign

At Mota-Engil Peru, 39 employees from the Lusoperuano Construction Consortium (CCL) and Mariscal Cáceres Supervisor (CSMC) engaged in a tree-planting campaign at the CCL site. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among employees about the environmental impact of their actions and promote more conscious practices in the workplace.

During the campaign, 70 eucalyptus trees (Ficus/Eucalyptus torelliana) were planted. This species naturally grows in the region, adapts well to the abundant rainfall of the local jungle, provides shade, and tolerates high temperatures. It is also used as an alignment tree along paths or trails and has potential for timber use.

The native plant nurseries managed by the “Tarata Bridge Construction” project, under the Lusoperuano Construction Consortium, have supported these tree-planting initiatives.

The activity was coordinated by the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (SSOMA) team. Employees demonstrated strong commitment and engagement throughout the planting process.

Similar actions are intended to be replicated, enabling all project employees to better understand the impact of their actions and the importance of maintaining green areas on construction sites.
