On June 5, to mark World Environment Day, Mota-Engil in Portugal organized an initiative combining well-being, contact with nature, and environmental commitment, holding the 2nd edition of the run/walk for the environment.

As part of World Environment Day 2025, Mota-Engil Peru carried out an environmental awareness campaign at the “Raising stage 6 of the tailings dam” – Toromocho project, which ran throughout June.

Promotes awareness on plastic pollution and “green walks”

At Mota-Engil Peru, 39 employees from the Lusoperuano Construction Consortium (CCL) and Mariscal Cáceres Supervisor (CSMC) engaged in a tree-planting campaign at the CCL site. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among employees about the environmental impact of their actions and promote more conscious practices in the workplace.

Mamaland – a Mota-Engil company that started its activity in 2023 – is dedicated to the development, implementation and maintenance of sustainable systems, adopting inclusive approaches aimed at generating prosperity for the planet and people.

The ecological restoration and enhancement of natural capital project consisted of the installation of a microforest, inspired by a combination of styles between the Miyawaki method and those of ecological restoration, based on Nature-based Solution (NbS).

Mota-Engil Peru, in partnership with MMG, developed the "Mota te Quiero Verde" campaign in the area of the Las Bambas Tailings Dam project.

With the aim of raising awareness among employees and involving the school community in the defense, protection and recovery of forests, in Mexico, World Tree Day was celebrated with reforestation campaigns that involved employees of the Barranca Larga, Parque Aztlán, Aeropuerto Internacional de Tepic and Aeropuerto Internacional Puerto Escondido projects, and students from local secondary and primary schools.  

On the occasion of the commemoration of World Environment Day, Mota-Engil carried out initiatives to raise environmental awareness and promote biodiversity in various geographies.

On the occasion of the commemoration of World Earth Day, a campaign was carried out in different locations in the state of Nayarit. The waste collected was delivered to the Secretariat of Sustainable Development of Nayarit, to be sent for recycling, promoting its correct management.
