The Mota-Engil Group present at the FACIM

The Mota-Engil Group stand was visited by the President of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza, as well as the Portuguese vice Prime Minister, Paulo Portas on the opening day of the event.

The Maputo International Fair – FACIM 2014 – celebrated its 50th anniversary with Mota-Engil Group this year represented by an exhibition stand.

In the opinion of Mota-Engil Moçambique chairman Aníbal Leite, these official visits represented “a unique moment where the Mota-Engil brand was recognized”. From a strategic point of view, Aníbal Leite recalled that participation in this event was of great importance for Mota-Engil Mozambique as it has been present in the country for more than 20 years and because the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) “is much more than just a fair but rather a manifestation of Mozambique´s economic growth and its economic relations with other regions of the world”.

All of the business areas of the Mota-Engil Group which are active in Mozambique took part in the Fair, including Engineering and Construction.

In total the Fair was attended by 2,700 exhibitors of which some 2,000 are Mozambican with the other 700 representing 26 different countries.
